Edgar Momplaisir - Writer, Producer, and Comedy Creator

Edgar Momplaisir is an American television writer, producer, comedian, and performer known for his contributions to a variety of acclaimed comedy and animated series. A native of New York City who spent part of his childhood in McAllen, Texas, Edgar Momplaisir later made Los Angeles his creative home, where he has built a successful career in entertainment.

Since launching the production and loan out company Los Negritos in 2018, Mr. Momplaisir has worked with major networks and streaming platforms including ABC, FOX, Netflix, Paramount+, and Comedy Central. His television credits span a wide range of roles, from staff writer and story editor to producer and supervising producer. The notable projects he has helped shape include Dear White People, black-ish, Star Trek: Lower Decks, Krapopolis, and Everybody Still Hates Chris.

A significant milestone in his career came in 2018 when he was selected as a Sundance New Voices Lab Fellow, an honor that recognizes emerging storytellers with distinctive creative perspectives. The fellowship helped highlight his talent as both a writer and creator developing original content.
